Corey joined the Navigator team in 2015. He was born and raised in the small town of Sheridan, WY. It was there that he learned the importance of family and community before moving to Billings, MT. He worked various jobs while attending college and graduated from MSU-Billings with a degree in History and Psychology. He is now married and spending time with his wife, daughter and son are his greatest joy. He brings with him experience in freight brokerage working in sales and dispatch for one of the largest brokerages in the nation. His prior skills in transportation add value to the services we provide for our customers and carriers. The thing Corey enjoys most about this industry is that each day brings something new and he is always up for a good challenge. He takes a fun and adventurous approach in every aspect of his life and has many interests including music, body building, home improvement projects and movie marathons.
Stephanie joined Navigator Direct as an accounting clerk/office assistant in 2007. Bringing 20 years of experience in administration and customer service, she enjoys the challenges and opportunities for professional growth at Navigator. Stephanie processes all accounts receivable and accounts payable and supports the team effort to be responsive to the needs of both shippers and carriers. She quality checks order dispatches, creates custom invoices to shippers’ specifications, and oversees carrier compliance – creating and maintaining documentation on liability and cargo insurance coverage, 1099s and DOT inspections. Born in Lewiston, Idaho, Stephanie attended college in Boise and graduated with an associates degree in Healthcare Administration from Denver Business College in Billings, Montana.
Scott came on board the Navigator dispatch team in 2006. Scott studied biology at San Diego State and economics at Montana State University Bozeman. Scott became a mover and a shaker in his years as an operations and business manager with UPS, as well as preforming safety and human resources assignments. His industry expertise, strategic oversight, dedicated follow up make him the answer man for customer service. Scott exemplifies the ability to work well under pressure, always offering candid and reassuring support. Scott is Navigator’s dry bulk pneumatic expert. Scott recently embarked on a new challenge of running 5K races. On the weekends, you can find Scott at a local race supporting a wide variety of nonprofit charities.
In 2018, Kelly joined Navigator Direct as the Executive Assistant. She brings more than ten years of administrative experience to the table with expertise in marketing and project management. Kelly holds a BA in management and marketing from Montana State University of Billings. She sharpens the operational performance through providing valuable reports, conducting market research and maintaining project timelines.
Originally from Billings, Montana, Kelly spends her free time exploring the Beartooth Mountains through trail hiking and camping with her family. She is an ambitious, outgoing individual who seeks adventure. Her hobbies include: running, paddle boarding and swimming.
Vice President, CFO
Mike co-founded Navigator Direct and serves as vice president and CFO. Mike completed a degree in finance and accounting from Montana State University in Bozeman before pursuing careers as a bank examiner working for the FDIC, and then as a Certified Public Accountant working for both national and regional accounting firms. Mike’s background in accounting and finance makes him a complimentary co-owner with Bob, and a logical choice to fill the position of CFO. A native of central Montana, he is the youngest of six children born and raised on the family farm. Mike enjoys running and competes in “fun runs” at distances of 5K to ½ marathon. His other hobbies include fishing and trail riding in the mountains on his ATV.
CTB President, CEO
Bob co-founded Navigator Direct and serves as president and CEO. Bob brings a wealth of experience from working in many facets of the transportation industry. Starting in the industry as a truck driver, Bob succeeded as an owner/operator, moving on to manage an OTR flatbed and stepdeck company, and later serving as manager of the western division of one of the largest flatbed brokers in the nation.
With more than 30 years of success in the transportation industry, Bob is an experienced leader, handling both day-to-day shipping and freight needs as well as solving difficult shipping problems, making Navigator Direct a premier “point to point shipping solutions” provider.
Bob has earned the professional designation of “Certified Transportation Broker” by the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA). Their rigorous certification program requires an extensive knowledge of transportation regulations, business operations, logistics, and freight brokerage practices. In addition to transportation and brokerage expertise, candidates must also pass high professional ethical standards set by TIA.
When Bob manages to find the time he enjoys outdoor recreation. He can be found boating, water skiing, golfing or hiking in nice weather. During the winter months he takes pleasure in testing and improving upon his skiing skills in the snow.
